The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground & Nico and Stereolab - Emperor Tomato Ketchup

The Velvet Underground's debut includes songs in genre's such as lounge rock, proto punk and noise rock. it opens with 'Sunday Morning' probably the most commerciable song on here, whilst Nico turns up on 'Femme Fatale'. 'Run Run Run' rocks along to a proto punk beat with a very good guitar solo and feedback very lo fi.. a highlight is definitely 'Heroin' which is simply stunning. it closes with 'European Son' which is simply noise rock as good as it gets. to take away with, TVU&N was released in the 60's, and even bands today are striving for what TVU achieved , lo fi punk rock songs and lounge pop gems. influencing bands like Stereolab and Psychedelic Horseshit. any music critic not worthy this the highest of accolades clearly lacks any sort of credibility. and we are still listening to it in 2013. 10/10
